The staff was top-notch in courtesy and competence. The facilities were well decorated, quiet and comfortable – except that the mattress was extremely hard. All room amenities were satisfied with excellent quality products. Be aware that the snacks in the room are not free and are relatively expensive. Everything in the hotel worked as expected. The two restaurants provided menus with a wide assortment of dishes to suit both Asian and Western tastes. While the hotel is located on the scenic waterfront, it is a good walk to any shopping or dining, so a taxi ride is required for most outings. It’s only 5 minutes (by taxi) from the ferry terminal, but 15-20 minutes from most other sights and venues. In all, it’s a very good place to stay, especially if you can obtain a bargain rate.
